White Squirrel Festival

We came full circle from our very first booth at the 2008 White Squirrel Fest to this year's, which was our most successful booth fundraiser yet, raising $900.  Many thanks to John & Carol Dodson and Kim Skeen of the Dodson-Carlile Studio at Mud Dabbers for running two pottery wheels for kids of all ages--the hit of the festival.

Our auction hung at Poppies Market for two weeks.  We had 24 pieces donated--an amazing show of support for holistic education in Brevard.  Special thanks to Randy Baron and Nancy Depippo at Poppies, www.poppiesmarket.com.

Berry Picking Picnic with Teachers August 9, 2008

It was perfect weather for a picnic, and turn-out was great!  Only a few families missed out on this fantastic day of blackberry and blueberry picking.  Some folks lingered and went hiking up Sam's Knob--well worth it for the views.

Independance Day Fest

Our July 4th booth was a hit despite the rain!  We made tissue paper trees and bean bag buddies and sold watermelon slices and peach tea.  One of our kiddos even made the newspaper!

White Squirrel Festival '08

We had a great booth May 24-25 to celebrate that unique Brevard resident, the white squirrel.  It was super-windy, and we got blown over a few times, but turn-out was good.  We sold herb tea and jewelry and made clothespin butterflies and glue-collages.
